The Village Community hosted the annual fall Jazz Band Performance and Recognition Awards Ceremony where the students of both The Village and The Lighthouse showcased their talents and immense achievements. The Director of Music Programs, David Rojas, exposed these young minds to musical performance and the artistic expression that comes through music, which they otherwise would not have access to. The Turner Foundation is privileged to partner in the establishment of a new Community Center in Pereira, Columbia, South America! In partnership with the foundation Mission Oasis, we were excited to send art supplies, guitars and so forth to bless the 50 children who now have a Community Center in their neighborhood! Giving back and serving our communities globally is embedded into our DNA at the Turner Foundation, and we are so grateful to continue to get the chance to do this.

Good Life TV with Dean Wilson, of the Turner Foundation, which provides accommodation for the elderly and economically challenged, is taped in the garden at his Montecito home near the Rosewood Miramar and is dedicated to bringing “real stories from real people.”

The holidays are here! As fall semester comes to a close, our students, families, and staff came together to celebrate the end of 2019 with a potluck-style dinner, gingerbread house making, games, and more!

Among the glammed-up guests, clinking dinnerware, and lush carpeting at Rosewood Miramar Hotel, stood our Turner Foundation students, beaming with pride. In fitted tuxes, glittery dresses, and squeaky-clean shoes provided by the Turner Foundation…

A huge SHOUT OUT to David, our music director, who had a vision for renovating our music studios, and saw to it that it became reality!

Thanks to Deji, the amazing SONOS team, and their generous donations, our centers have been decked out with state-of-the-art flatscreen TVs, sound bars, and portable speakers!

In light of special guest President George W. Bush attending Turner Foundation’s Legacy Event this upcoming December, our students worked tirelessly over the past few months on presentations regarding the U.S. government, U.S. presidents, and more!

Let the Halloween festivities begin! Our students had a blast today going on hayrides, navigating the corn maze, and picking out their very own pumpkins at Lane Farms!

Thanks to our partnership with MOXI – Museum of Exploration & Innovation, our students were able to participate in a field trip where they got to learn about physics, patterns, rhythms, and sounds through a variety of hands-on exhibits

To kick off the start of the 2019-2020 school year, the Turner Foundation staff hosted community barbecues at both the Village and Lighthouse complexes. All residents at both communities were invited, and both gatherings turned out to be a huge success!

We would like to take time to acknowledge two students. It is their "can do" attitude, resiliency, and consistency that have allowed this growth and great accomplishment to take place!
