California Pizza Kitchen Tour

On Friday, July 15 the younger group at The Village Summer Camp had the privilege of touring the restaurant California Pizza Kitchen located in the Paseo Nuevo Mall of downtown Santa Barbara. The students took a tour of the whole facility, seeing where food is stored, prepared, and cooked. They got to experience the behind the scenes action of a restaurant and learn about how it operates and all the different jobs there are. Then they got to each make their own individual pizzas, putting on their own sauce, cheese, and choice of toppings. They saw their pizzas cooking in the flames of the oven and got to enjoy their freshly baked pies for breakfast! They even got a special surprise dessert brownie as well as their own goodie bags to take home. We are so grateful for California Pizza Kitchen's hospitality and graciousness to let us tour their restaurant. The staff was so welcoming and warm and management really made the experience one to remember!
