The Village kicked off its summer program by participating in a soccer camp hosted by Child Evangelism Fellowship at Shoreline Church.

On May 29, eight children from The Village got the privilege to participate in one of Santa Barbara's finest events, I Madonnari. These kids attended numerous meetings to decide on a theme for their drawing, research pictures, and pick out themselves what they would draw.

On April 23rd, The Village students got a chance to showcase their dance skills at Everybody Dance Now’s Day of Movement at the Carrillo Recreational Center.

Through their ticket subsidy program, we were lucky enough to attend yet another great concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl. The breakout acapella group Pentatonix performed originals from their self-titled album as well as creative arrangements of songs by The Jackson 5 and Imagine Dragons.

The Turner Foundation will be holding a FUNdraiser at California Pizza Kitchen on Wednesday, May 18th, 2016! Anyone who presents this flyer either on their mobile device or as a hard copy will get 20% of their tab donated to The Village Learning Center Summer Program.

Since 2014, we've established a strong partnership with The Santa Barbara Bowl. Through working with Kai Tepper, Education Outreach Program Manager, we've been able to utilize the Bowl's various outreach programs.

Notes for Notes is a national nonprofit organization that designs, equips, and staffs after-school recording studios packed with instruments offering youth completely FREE access to explore, create, and record music so that music may become a profoundly positive influence in their lives.

The Media Lab has expanded! The Turner Foundation received a generous grant from the Williams-Corbett Foundation. A portion of the funding allowed the Learning Center buy 4 new chrome books and have a technician come in to update all the devices!

In 2014, The Turner Foundation purchased an additional property of 45-unit apartments about a mile from the Village called The Lighthouse

The Surf Happens Foundation funded a free surf day for the families of The Village, an affordable housing unit in Santa Barbara. The sun was shinning and perfect little waves rolled through all day. Thank you to everyone involved, this was truly a special day at the beach!
