1 Year at the Foundation House!

Dear friends,

Meet Eric. Eric came to the Foundation House from a youth shelter. Having the stability of a place to call home, within a few months, Eric was able to secure employment, get his driver's license, and buy his own car. He also successfully paid his own rent for six months until he was able to graduate to permanent housing!

Meet Gabriel. Gabriel was sleeping in friends' cars and at a shelter until he found his way to the Foundation House. Finding stability, Gabriel has now been at his new job for a month and is working on his new goals!

One definition of "foundation" is "the support upon which something rests." Foundations are incredibly important in life.

When we named The Lisa Smith Wengler Foundation House, we wanted to honor a dear friend and generous donor, Lisa Smith Wengler. The rest of the name is also very intentional. Our vision is for a supportive home, a place that can serve as a firm foundation for young people who would otherwise be homeless.

It has been a terrific first year at The Lisa Smith Wengler Foundation House. Lives have been forever impacted. We are so grateful to all of our friends and partners who have locked arms with us to make this vision a reality!
