Resident Assistant (RA)

Live-in Position | Rent-Free Private Room
Part-Time | Stipend: $500/month

The Turner Foundation is hiring a Resident Assistant (RA) to live on-site at one of our Foundation Houses and support transitional-aged youth during evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. The RA is essential in creating a supportive community, maintaining a safe environment, and encouraging personal growth as residents focus on their education, employment, and long-term stability.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment

  • Be available for crisis support and emergencies after hours

  • Offer peer-level leadership, community building, and accountability

  • Help lead house meetings and support staff coordination

  • Respond to maintenance or safety concerns during your shift

  • Provide regular updates to program leadership

  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and resident move-ins

Qualifications

  • Must live on-site in a private room (provided rent-free)

  • Self-aware, adaptable, and calm in high-stress situations

  • Able to work independently and with a team

  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)

  • Willing and able to pass a background check, TB test, and physical exam

  • Available nights, weekends, and holidays

This is more than a housing position—RAs are mentors, advocates, and steady support systems for our youth.
